Embracing Me!

I've learned many things in the 42 years of my life thus far....

That is that some stories in life are not always clear, they don't all possess a clear beginning or an end & the middle is wonderfully messy stuff!

Some events in life just don't make sense, no matter how hard you dig into the depths of your soul, or into your sense of reasoning or into the pages of the most educational of all books. The answers are sometimes ever elusive.

We can't make assumptions about people based on their personal differences. Every person's life is precious & important to them & to those that love them.

None of us are without fault, we are all perfect & imperfect at the same time.

Life is not about having everything you want, it is about appreciating everything you have.
It's about ceasing every moment, making it your own or sharing it with someone you love or care for because non of us are privy to knowing when our last moment will be.

It's about not taking for granted the lives of others or your own life for that matter.

In this last year & in particular this last month I have experiences loss & sadness on many different levels. If there is anything that I must take away from these unfortunate events, it is that I MUST truly live my life!!

I must embrace ME!!!!

I must embrace this messy, scary & wonderful life.

  3. As I'm reading this, I thought of your earlier poems about the tragedies you wrote about. This is a nice reminder about putting things into perspective.

  11. Embracing and loving yourself is the first most thing we need to do as humans... with it comes better understanding of ourselves, self-respect and self-confidence to do what we want to do...
