A heaviness had fallen upon her. A feeling that she likened to that of the feeling you get when bad news may be on its way, that she needed to be somewhere else but where she was.
This was a thought shared among friends over morning tea.
I've experienced this feeling before myself, many times & now recognise it as a womans intuition.
Once upon a time, in my more youthfilled years, I used to ignore this voice.
A foolish thing to do of course, because in hindsight it would have served me well & saved me from many an ucomfortable & unsafe situation. In my very naive & self assured way of thinking, I believed that all would be just dandy.
Well life lessons have taught me how very important this particular inner voice is & not to dismiss it. It's actually more of an inner feeling than a voice.
So now the passage of time has gifted me with the belief to live by the premise that if it doesn't feel right then it probably isn't.

You are so right.. I have kicked myself a few times for not going w/my gut... Love the drawing- very whimsical!.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so true. Sometimes we don't want to listen to that inner voice, but it just won't be quiet. It always knows what is best for us, because it comes from our authentic self. I'm stil shushing mine too often, and I only have me to blame for that.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture with your post...it fits perfectly. I know I have told you before, but I realy like the new look of your blog : )
I agree...we all have an inner voice and it is there for a reason...LISTEN UP :)
ReplyDeletei hear you, i tuned mine out foe years and its a wonder i am still around honestly...wisdom comes with age and experience...
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I isten to that little voice. Love the new blog look.
ReplyDeleteI, of course, believe in an inner voice. However, there is nothing more accurate than a woman's intuition. My wife's is quite strong, and I have learned to utilize it as a positive force. Kath, I thnk you are quite an artist as well. Your blog is terrific!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your lovely comments .. I appreciate them all very much. I wish you all a very safe and Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteI can't take credit for the lovely picture, that is compliments of Google Images. I don't even know the name of the artist, but it is a lovely picture.
A man is more likely to simply forge ahead with things, and for the most part the male species tends to be less in touch with its inner feelings. Perhaps that's why it's called a WOMAN's intuition.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'
Have a blessed Easter weekend Katherine !
I don't know Rick ... after reading your blog now for a few years, I think that your an intuitive kinda a guy ... You have a blessed weekend also! Cheers Kath x
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree! We've been given that light inside our souls for a reason, for a protection and guide. Miriam@Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters
ReplyDeleteits funny... im only 33 and i hear that little voice now and then... but it seems i only recognize it was speaking (mosta the time) to me in hindsight... once it was too late to listen lol... i guess thats a cue to work on my listening huh?
ReplyDeletegramma always said "god gave you two ear and one mouth... that means you should listen twice as much as you speak!" lol
