When I looked at this picture prompt I thought of " The Great Gatsby" & the roaring 20's..... so that's what I wrote about. Silk gloves & Coat tails
Top Hats & Gowns
The music was roaring
There was a party down town
Bobbed hair & fringed skirts
Dancing & sex
A new breed woman
Recklessly frivolous
She's forward in nature
A giddy type girl
A smoker ... a drinker
She's no perfect pearl
These parties were busy
There was lots going on
Petting parties were a-happening
They were getting it on
Welcome the 'roaring twenties'
It was a time for progress
Less inhibited.. with more freedom
She's a 20's flapper no less
I can invision the times, beautiful expression.Good Read!

ReplyDeleteHey Sheri... I find the 1920's a very intriguing time in history. Woman rebelling against the matriarchal influences in their lives....these being the flappers. A time of petting parties, bath tub gin, gangsters , bootleggers & organised crime...a V-E-R-Y interesting period indeed!
