IF
If the walls could speak
They would say I love you very much
They would say that I can't live without your touch
They would say that I'm the only one for you
If the walls could speak
If this house could hear
It would hear the words we share
It would know that I love you & I care
It would hear the laughter, loving & the tears
If this house could hear
If this room could see
It would see the love we make
It would see its you I want to take
It would see the way you hold me in your arms
If this room could see
If these floors could feel
They would feel the lives inside
They would feel the warmth of love we cannot hide
They would feel the life that's moving all around
If the floors could feel
If this house had wings
It would fly us to the stars
It would drift by Jupiter & Mars
It would take us gently flying past the moon
If this house had wings

ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the phrase or song or whatever called, "The house that love built."
I think in my crazy life with my silly little boys running wild and my career and my hubby, I forget all the love inside of our four walls. Thank you for this lovely reminder :-)
Katherine,
ReplyDeleteOops it's been a while since I stopped by. Thanks for coming and leaving a comment on my Sunset Sunday shot to remind me. I looked over several of your recent writings and you do have a talent. I wonder if you also take all the photos you use to illustrate your thoughts. Either way I enjoy visiting.

ReplyDeleteHi Ron .. I am fine thank you .. but there have been a few events within my life of recent times that have brought me to a place of reflective thought about how fortunate I am to have so much love in my life... because I know, as you would too, that this is not always the case for everyone. Thank you for popping by, I know from reading your blog that you have been a busy man.. the work you do is so very important. You know you are welcome to visit here whenever you wish.
