I know everyone has one! Maybe some, like me, have more than one...
A someone from their past or possibly in their present, whom they look up too, admire or are in awe of.
Someone whom has taught you things about yourself, that you possibly didn't already know.
I've been lucky in my life to have known quite a few of these people.
People whom have kept me grounded to this spinning & sometimes crazy world.
Some things in life are unpredictable, some people in life are unpredictable; but these people are seemingly always centred, stable & trustworthy.
I am ever so grateful for these people in my life.
I thank them for their councel, their guidance, their time & most of all their love.
These things I consider priceless !
I think that you and I are on a similar plane, recalling memories of our children, maybe even close to the same age, a journey to keep our children running like we remember?
ReplyDeleteI like this piece too... I am an insomniac since Aaron went to college on his own and Ane left this earth, but that is okay, because I love reading your words as well...
Feel free to email me anytime as well...
What a lovely thing to say Elizabeth. I am honored that you feel this way about me & what I write.I can't even being to imagine how you must feel as I still have all my boys at home with me. My eldest did leave home for about 18 months & returned, like a boomerang! I know that during this time I never stopped worrying about him. Thank you for being so kind!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! People like that are priceless.
ReplyDeleteHello MamaZen...thank you for your comment & for taking the time to visit my blog! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, you are lucky to have more than one!!!
ReplyDeleteYes I know! Thank you blueviolet!
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate enough to have several fine role models; but the older, I get the more I reflect on my older brother Kyle. Daily I seem to remember the little things he taught me and the style and swagger he possessed as we were growing up. He's two years old than me, but he never failed to forget that he had a kid brother and he never failed to try to break some knowledge off for me.
ReplyDeleteI never think to tell him what an impact he had on me when I was growing up; but the next time I see him..........I'm gonna tell him.
My older sister Alice is one of my special someones. She is actually in my profile pic with me..the one with the long hair. Alice is beautiful both inside & out. Just like your brother she has never ever forgotten me. I love her so very much.
ReplyDeleteWith the unpredictability of life... I would encourage you to do what you said you were gonna do Reggie & tell Kyle how you feel!
Thank you for stopping by Reggie! Have a great week!! :)
