Here I am again
All alone in this space
In the act of creating
In a literary word chase
I seek out the words
To write for this post
A difficult task
Set by our Theme Thursday host
I think & I write
I write & I think
I read & erase
I'm near to the brink
A moment of pause
A draft passes by
Cooling my face
Oh Come on Kath try
So I've selected some words
Be them only a few
I've written a draft
It'll have to make do
It's better to try
Than not try at all
It might not be my best
But I'm having a ball!

kath - I think that the only way to remove what you wrote in 'mr. linky' is to eliminate the entire post; however, if someone knows a trick, I hope they let us know.
ReplyDeletewonderful poetic take on this week's theme!
Just being able to express you writers block by way of poetry is amazing. Great post!

ReplyDeleteIt'll have to make do...
Nice one :-)
Thanks Nanc :)
ReplyDeleteThis often happens to me and I am starting to post my drafts on my Riff blog to show readers the process. I find that just the sitting down and writing what comes in my head will tease a string out eventually.
ReplyDeleteYes.. sometimes when you sit down with the purpose of writing in mind...nothing comes! And other times I might be driving somewhere & words are popping in left, right & center and I wish I had a little recorder to capture them before they're lost in the days events! Have a great day Julie!
ReplyDeleteYou did an absolutely fabulous job with this one!
ReplyDeletekeep the fingers moving across the page or typing...that is how the words find their way out of our brains--keep posting00look forward to reading more-Happy TT

Never stop trying and never feel alone. Happy Theme Thursday!
ReplyDeleteLeslie & Dot-Com ... Thank you for your lovely comments & I definitely don't feel alone here in blog-ville. So many like minded, supportive people .. thank you heaps!
ReplyDeleteHaving fun is one of the best reasons to do Theme Thursday.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of breaking through the block. Seems like most often, if I have to work hours for it, it ends up being suitable only to line the canary's cage. For me, it's the ones that come quickly that turn out the best.
